What is Zyrtec Liquid Gels?

Cetirizine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

Cetirizine is used to treat cold or allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, or runny nose.

Cetirizine is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives).

Cetirizine may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.


What is the most important information I should know about Zyrtec Liquid Gels?

This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.

Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of cetirizine.

Tell your doctor if you regularly use other medicines that make you sleepy (such as other cold or allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression, or anxiety). They can add to sleepiness caused by cetirizine.

Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, if they get worse, or if you also have a fever.

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Zyrtec Liquid Gels?

You should not use this medication if you are allergic to cetirizine.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe for you to take this medicine if you have any medical conditions.

FDA pregnancy category B. This medication is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment.

Cetirizine can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Older adults may need to take a lower than normal dose. Follow your doctor's instructions.


SODIUM FLUORIDE GEL - DENTAL (SO-dee-um FLOOR-ide)

USES: This medication is used to prevent cavities. It makes teeth stronger and more resistant to decay caused by acid and bacteria.This medication is not recommended for children younger than 6 years unless directed by the dentist/doctor.

HOW TO USE: Depending on the product, this medication is applied onto the teeth, either with a mouth tray or a small brush/swab, by a dental professional. The gel should be left on for the prescribed amount of time (usually 1 to 4 minutes, depending on the product).Spit out the medication after use. Do not swallow. Children should rinse their mouths thoroughly right away. Watch children during treatment and rinsing to make sure they do not swallow the medication or rinse water. For best results in adults, do not rinse your mouth, eat, or drink for at least 30 minutes after use.Dosage and frequency of application is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. This medication is usually applied every 6 to 12 months or as directed by your dentist.Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, mark the days on the calendar when you need to receive the medication.
